In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful On August 24, 2026, a delegation of researchers from strategic and political research institute(NEXUS ) in Bangladesh convened in iranian embassy for a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the dialogue, both sides discussed opportunities to enhance institutional collaboration between strategic and political research centers and Think Thanks in Iran and Bangladesh, emphasizing the organization of joint academic panels and consultative sessions. Notably, throughout the recent conflict, several Bangladesh research institutes hosted symposiums featuring the Iranian Ambassador, which received substantial coverage across Bangladeshi media outlets. Following recent geopolitical developments and the strategic setbacks experienced by the United States and Israel relative to Iran, interest among Bangladeshi research, academic, and political institutes in gaining a deeper understanding of Iran and expanding bilateral academic cooperation with our country has grown significantly.
