In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful On September 10, 2026, H.E. Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, met with H.E. Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the newly appointed President of Bangladesh. During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the Letter of congratulations of  H.E. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the President of Bangladesh H.E. Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, in his letter also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the support and solidarity extended by H.E. the President, the Government, and the people of Bangladesh following the martyrdom of the Iranian supreme leader, as well as in the aftermath of the criminal attacks carried out by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran. H.E. Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and H.E. Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi also exchanged views on the latest developments in bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as on matters of mutual interest. Regional developments and the situation arising from the war in the Persian Gulf were among the other key topics discussed during the meeting. The two sides exchanged views on the latest developments and related issues, emphasizing matters of mutual concern.
