In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful Date: September 14, 2026 H.E. Dr. Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, attended the anniversary ceremony commemorating the establishment of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC). On the sidelines of the event, His Excellency engaged in constructive discussions with several heads of diplomatic missions present, including the Ambassadors of the Russian Federation, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the Italian Republic. Note: BIMSTEC is a regional organization comprising Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Myanmar, dedicated to fostering multi-sectoral technical and economic collaboration among the littoral and adjacent areas of the Bay of Bengal.
