Meeting of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran with Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. MD. Shahriar Alam on 04 September 2022.

Mr. Mansour Chavoshi, the Ambassador of Iran, paid a courtesy call on Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Md. Shahriar Alam, MP on 04 September 2022. State Minister welcomed Mr. Chavoshi, the new Ambassador of Iran and congratulated him on his appointment as Ambassador of Iran to Bangladesh. He mentioned that all possible support will be extended to the Ambassador during his tenure in Bangladesh. Bangladesh and Iran enjoys excellent relations in bilateral as well as in multilateral forums. The people of Bangladesh and Iran have strong historical and cultural bondage. There is ample scopes to further strengthen economic and trade and investment relations between the two countries. He requested for exchange of high level visits and more engagements in medical, food processing, ICT and energy sectors.

Mr, Chavoshi told that Government of Iran is sincere to enhance economic relations with Bangladesh. Mr. Chavoshi told that Iran is ready to cooperate with Bangladesh in medical, engineering and energy sector for mutual benefit of people of Bangladesh and Iran. Hon’ble State Minister briefed the Ambassador about the impressive economic growth of Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He expressed that there is lot of opportunity for Iran to invest in Special Economic Zones of Bangladesh. Mr. Chavoshi highly appreciate the Government of Bangladesh for its continued economic success and social development.
