Meeting of the Ambassador with the MOFA's D.G for International Affairs

Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh met with Mr. Kamrul Zaman Director General for International Affairs and United Nations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

On August 25, 2026, His Excellency Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh, met with Mr. Kamrul Zaman, Director General for International Affairs and United Nations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in discussions regarding bilateral cooperation within the framework of the United Nations. Iran and Bangladesh maintain robust engagement and close collaboration across the United Nations, it's subsidiary organs and specialized agencies, as well as key regional and international bodies, including the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

In a gesture of cultural diplomacy, the Iranian Ambassador presented several volumes of the Bengali translation of the Masnavi, authored by Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi, to the Director General and his colleagues.
