On October 1, 2026, pursuant to the official invitation of the Minister of Tourism of Bangladesh, H.E. Dr. Rahimi Jahanabadi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, participated in a specialized tourism conference in Dhaka. On the sidelines of the event, the Iranian Ambassador met with the Minister of Tourism of Bangladesh, calling for bilateral cooperation aimed at establishing joint sessions between Iranian and Bangladeshi tourism agencies, launching a direct flight route, and establishing a medical tourism mechanism.
